MLM Tips – Managing For A Profitable Downline

MLM Tips for Managing Your Downline

If you ever hope to have any success in network marketing, you can’t do it on your own. You must have a team. And, similar to any other team, your network marketing downlines demand some management. Left without it, any team will undoubtedly stagnate or quit the business totally.

Unfortunately, however it’s an easy concept to understand, it isn’t always that effortless to successfully do. By implementing these network marketing tips with your downline, you will expand your business speedier and stronger.

To start with, you need to comprehend the three different types of distributors that comprise your business:

1. Distributors From Hell. These are the ones that altogether suck the life out of you every day. They’re the dark clouds that have no business in this industry. They come to meetings and moan. They’re always making excuses. The products aren’t right, their upline won’t phone back immediately enough. You name it, they’ll make a fuss about it. They will use up the majority of your time if you allow them. The smartest tip is to not recruit them at all. But if they manage to get in your downline, DO NOT allocate too much of your time on them. Don’t jump into that trap! You can’t fix that type of person. Never.
2. The Rank and File Downline Distributors. By far, the largest percentage of your downline will be those who span from mildly interested to totally inspired, but not superstars. And that is altogether fine. Collectively, they are the heart of your organization. So you ought to be wise in relation to your time. Donate abundant support so that they have the opportunity to become more, but be careful not to do it all for them. Because they may not be all out skilled in network marketing, they might try to make you to close all their deals, handle all their back office work and resolve all their problems. You ought to coach, support and empower them, but reiterate that they develop their own knowledge. Call team classes and encourage webinar attendance so that they grasp how to do things on their own. Be completely available for them, but remember that you are not their secretary or customer service department!
3. The Builders. These are those few, honest to goodness go-getters who take charge of their business and do anything it requires to make it work, no matter what. We adore them. But remember! It is a frequent management error to focus on the less capable, because they are the ones that need the help. Builders are self-sufficient, so they don’t require your constant attention, right? Wrong!

A typical example: You have 2 distributors in your downline for a while. Distributor A brings on 1 person, and Distributor B sponsored 5.

You’re working really hard with Distributor A to get him his 2nd one, figuring that he only needs one more to get going. Before realizing it, you make Distributor B secondary, because she’s doing great and doesn’t require any hand-holding.

But think about it. If you spend your time doubling Distributor A’s achievement, you’ll add 1 distributor to your downline. Double Distributor B’s achievement and you’ll add 5. And in case you didn’t know, 5 new distributors developing your business is better than 1.

Focus For Success

As your downline organization grows, you will begin to get busy. Focus one-on-one and give steady attention to your Builders, support and expand your Rank and File, beware of your time sucking Distributors From Hell and watch your downlines grow strong.
