Details to include on wedding invitation e cards

When designing electronic wedding invites some people can become easily distracted with getting the ‘look’ of the invitations right rather than focusing on its actual content. For some wedding invitations all you may need to include is the location, date and time of the ceremony with brief details of the reception. On the other hand, if you are getting married abroad for example, there may be other details you may need to include on your electronic wedding invites.

So what should you consider when sending out wedding invitation e-cards?

•    If you are taking the trouble to have your electronic invites designed professionally, make sure you provide current and up-to-date contact details for your guests to RSVP. If you have moved recently or they have lost track of your address this may end up causing delays in hearing back from everyone. Do not simply assume they have your details- make sure they have them.
•    Make sure the guests have details of the type of wedding you are holding. If you are going for a traditional, formal wedding make sure you include details such as “formal dress.” Alternatively, if you are getting married in a low-key wedding on a beach for example, make sure they are aware they can scale it down on the glam factor.
•    If the wedding and reception is going to be abroad you may think about setting up a website or blog with details about the area and potential hotels your guests could stay in. include a link to this information on the invitations.
•    Make sure you include a date for all RSVP correspondence so you are able to proceed with making final preparations.
•    If you know some of the guests have special dietary requirements, ask them to contact you as soon as possible so you can make alternative menu choices available for them.
