Whether you are looking into a new build or renovating an old building, if the result will see members of staff or the public using the building, then current legislation says that it must be accessible to everyone. Not only can many lift solutions be created in a bespoke manner to fit in with the aesthetics of the building as effectively as possible, but for smaller distances a platform lift can be used if people will only need to move between certain levels rather than between floors.
The benefit here is that the right platform lift will not even have to look like a lift at all. Many such lifts can take the form of staircases that simply transform into lifts at the touch of a button. This way, until such a lift is needed, it will not even have to seem like you have one.
Even the largest traditional buildings can have lifts placed in areas where they may not even be noticed and so long as you speak to the right companies you will be able to find that you can meet current legislation without worrying about harming the look of your building one little bit.
