Miranda Kerr recommends yoga for pregnant women

Australian model Miranda Kerr has recommended yoga as a great exercise for women expecting a baby. The 28-year-old, who is married to British actor Orlando Bloom, made her comments in an interview with America’s OK! Magazine.
The celebrity, who gave birth to her son Flynn in January of this year, already has her svelte figure back. Speaking to the publication at the CFDA Fashion Awards at Lincoln Centre in New York, she said she donned her yoga clothing regularly while she was pregnant.
She remarked: “I practiced yoga throughout my whole pregnancy and I continue to practice it now. For me, it really works. I love it. I do a combination of Kundalina and Hatha yoga and I’m also training as well.”
Kerr, who is perhaps best known as one of the Victoria’s Secret Angels, is not the only celebrity to put on her yoga clothes in a bid to keep in shape. Indeed, many A-listers engage in the activity as a means of staying fit.
It is also suggested that the breathing and muscle control techniques used in the discipline can help women when they are giving birth.
However, Kerr did not have an easy labour, she revealed. The new mum commented: “I gave birth to him naturally; without drugs or painkillers and it was a long, arduous and difficult labour, but Orlando was with me the whole time supporting and guiding me through it.”
She went on to say that it was more than worth it, noting that having a child is the “best thing” she has ever done.
These days it is possible for new mothers to take part in special mum and baby yoga
